Obituary for Teresa Asher
Teresa Kay Asher, 63, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Teresa was born on December 27, 1959 to her parents, Joyce and Mitchell Tussey in Franklin, Ohio.
She spent most of her life in Ohio and it was there that she met and married the love of her life, David. The two of them spent many years in Ohio before moving their family to Winnie, Texas and then later moving to Woodville, Texas. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother and Meme and loved her family very much. She had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. She had the ability to make other people feel loved while in her presence and was always very welcoming. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling to visit her family when able.
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Mitchell Tussey, sisters Marcella "Moose" McIntosh and Lois Faye Betts, brother Roscoe Tussey and granddaughter Emma Victoria Asher.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Asher; sons, James Asher, Joshua Asher and Jonathan Asher; daughter, Brittany Asher; grandchildren, Katelynn Asher, Cameron Jackson, Chloe Asher, Daisy Asher, Channing Asher, McKinleigh Miller, Izabella Asher, Aly Asher, Quintin Asher and Dallas Asher; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Root, Cooper Root and Hartleigh Bacon; brothers, Randy, Johnny, Frank, Homer, Larry and Ernie; sisters, Patricia, Barbara, Connie, Kathy and Loretta; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of both Dogwood Trails Manor and Olive Branch Hospice for their compassion and the excellent care that they provided to Teresa during her time on this earth, it is greatly appreciated.
