Roy Lee Palmer was born on April 16, 1941 to the union of Paul and Bert Palmer. From that union, 5 children were born and raised. Collis, Matilda, Roy Lee, Sandra, and Don.
He separated from this life at Westwood Manor in Deridder, Louisiana on June 2, 2019. He was preceded in death by both parents: his brothers Collis Palmer and Don Palmer: his sister, Matilda Ashworth.
Roy Lee was well known throughout his community. He was known as "Hogg" or "Pig." Roy Lee met and married Mary Guillory and to that union 5 children were born: Jerry, Diane, Roy Dale, Harold and Chris. Later in life he met a very special friend, Margaret Thomas and 2 children were conceived: Alice and Michael.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His sister, Sandra Lee of Bon Wier, Texas; his children, Jerry Palmer, Diane Palmer, Roy Dale Palmer, Harold Palmer, and Chris Palmer, Alice Collins, and Michael Issac Palmer; a younger daughter, Myeisha Haywood, a special friend, Margaret Ashworth; 2 nieces, Janice Ashworth and Ambika Seastrunk along with a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
