Obituary for Robert Franklin Perkins

Robert Franklin Perkins, 57, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

On January 17, 2024, Robert Perkins peacefully departed from the world, earning his angelic wings. Throughout his time on Earth, he left a profound impact on the lives of his family and friends, who were fortunate enough to experience his presence. Although his life may have appeared short to some, those who were acquainted with him understood that the quality of time spent. Robert’s warm smile brought immense joy to our family.
He instilled in us courage, hope and a deep appreciation for the preciousness of life. Robert found solace in playing music with his guitars, bowling, fishing, playing pool and let us not forget about them Texans. After dedicating 17 years of his life to work at Georgia Pacific, he made the decision to retire.

Robert is survived by his children: Jason Evans of Dallas, TX; Raven Perkins (Clint) of Jasper, TX; Linda Perkins (Eric) of Hillister, TX; Adrainunna Perkins of Port Arthur, TX; Taylor Evans of Hillister, TX; Robert (Pocket) Perkins Jr. of Hillister, TX. He leaves behind his one and only grandchild, Adelyah White, as well as his grand-dogs: Kali, Trey, Nova and Jinora. The mother of his children is April Adkins (Paul) of Hillister, TX. He also leaves behind his mother, Linda Perkins of Woodville, TX. His sisters, Donna Hammer of Woodville, TX; Vanessa Arredondo of Beaumont, TX; and Brittany Langston (Denver) of California; his brother, Eddie Arredondo of Beaumont, TX, and his grandmother, Mary Arredondo of Beaumont, TX, mourn his loss.

Additionally, Robert is survived by his two special nephews, Kevin Hammer Jr. (Brittany) of Kountze, TX, and David Hammer (Kennedy) of Sour Lake, TX, as well as a great- niece and two great nephews.

Beyond his immediate family, Robert formed deep connections and considered many as both friends and family. He leaves behind his brother from another mother, Eric Jackson and the entire Jackson family from Woodville, TX, who became an integral part of the Jackson family due to their enduring friendship. He also cherished his special friends, Ross Powell, Bobby Cruse, Jermaine Beatty, Johnny Hadnot, and Paul Beaty.
