Reginald Van Williams was born on October 29, 1972 to the late Thessalonians Freddie T.Williams (Slim) and Maurice Hadnot-Williams in the small community of Moss Hill, just outside of Woodville,Texas. Reginald began his Christian journey at a young age. He was baptized at 10 years old by Pastor E.A. Coleman at New Shady Grove Baptist Church. Reginald served faithfully throughout his youth, teen, and young adult years as an active member of the youth department, choir, and Jr. Deacon ministries. Under the leadership of Pastor L.W. White, Reginald discovered his gift of playing drums and became ordained as a deacon. Reginald later was instrumental in founding of the Seed of Faith Baptist Church. Reginald served as a founding deacon at this church and later accepted his call to the ministry under the leadership of Pastor Dale Moye Sr. He served faithfully as Youth Pastor at the Seed of Faith Worship Family Center until 2013, when he was called by the congregation to serve as Pastor. While serving as Pastor of “The Seed,” Reginald served the congregation with love, compassion, and humility. He also served the community, working tirelessly to forge unity among the ministers and churches in Tyler County.
Reginald graduated Woodville High School in 1991. He then attended Lamar University, receiving a Bachelor’s of Social Work. Reginald began his career, working for the Texas Department of Protective Services as a CPS Caseworker. He also worked as a Case manager for Sinclair Children’s Center. Reginald continued his secondary education, receiving his Teacher’s Certification and Master’s Degree at Lamar State College - Orange in 2000. It was after this that Reginald began his teaching and coaching career at Woodville ISD. He later attended Theological School in the State of Louisiana, graduating with his Doctorate Degree in Theology.
Reginald fathered one child at a young age. Reginald joined in Holy matrimony in 1994 to Shagala Diggles and to this union, 4 children were born.

Reginald Williams leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 26 years Shagala Diggles-Williams,(3) sons Laterran Pickett (Brittany), Reginald D'Vante Williams and Ralon De'Hani Williams; (2) daughters Shawnacey Symone' Williams (Marcus Goodwin) and Shayla Tymone' Williams and (1) grandson Mason Pickett. His mother Maurice Williams, (6) siblings Victor Hadnot (Teresa), Angela Hamilton (Bobbie), Randy Williams (Felicia), Michelle Williams, and Kenyata Williams (Ranada). (3) Godsons Derick Calhoun Jr, (LaDerrian, Kynnedi, Kyndhal & Khamyle),Darius Lacey and Ezekiel Altuzar. (3) Goddaughters D'Erika Calhoun (Jatavien), Ebony Lacey and Alayia Evans. His mother in love Cora Diggles and his "In love" family Sherry Diggles, LeRoy Diggles Jr. (Andrea), LaShundaGulley (Willie), Safreda Diggles, Sonya Taylor (Michael), and David Diggles (Marlys). A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Throughout the years Reginald formed many special relationships, filling the roles of father, friend, counselor, and Pastor. Reginald always found a way to operate in the gifts God blessed him with. He was blessed with a heart to serve others and made a great impact on many lives. Those who knew him knew that he did not meet strangers. He was an inspiration and leader in the Tyler County Community and every where his feet tread upon.
