Obituary for Ollie James Haynes

Ollie James (OJ) Haynes was born February 10, 1933 to Ocie Haynesand Hazel McKinney in Honey Island, TX. OJ went to work for Kirby Lumber Company in Silsbee, TX for 30 years. He then went to work for Temple Inland for 18 years where he retired, and then became a loyal employee of Read Ice for 21 years.

OJ married Geneva Walker in 1960 to this union 6 children were born in addition to a children that Geneva had previous to the marriage. Mrs. Geneva passed in 1978, OJ remarried in 1983 to Lula Mitchell. In this marriage an additional ; children were added to the family. OJ and Lula were married until her passing in 2004. OJ did not marry again. OJ was a member of Haynes Temple Church on Haynes Loop Rd in Kountze TX.

Proceeded in death by his parents; Ocie Havnes and Hazel McKinney. Wives: Geneva Walker (1960-1978) and Lula Mitchell (1983-2004). Sibling; Oscar Haynes. Children; JudyLimbrick (Daughter), Carla Mitchell (Daughter), Diantha Mitchell (Daughter), Mickev Havnes (Son). Grandchildren; Fabian Havnes (Grandson), Geneva McDaniel (Granddaughter) and Lillian Hancock (Great granddaughter).

He is survived by one brother; Freddie Haynes(Beverly) and three sisters; Sharon Haynes, Mildred Adams and Oretta McNeal (Smokev). Children; Nathan McDaniel (Annie), Barbara Collin (James), Otis Haynes (Minnie), Keith Haynes Sr., Darrel Haynes Sr. (Lori) and Sherika Barnes. Raised as children: Tiffanv Hancock (Andrew) ,Ivre Thomas (Jolonda), Antonio Mitchell(Talia). Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
