Sister Maxine Bean was born April 28, 1951 in Tyler County to the late Mr. Willie James and Sallie Mae Miller Wells. She resided in Doucette, TX all her life. Maxine was baptized at an early age and was a devoted Christian. She served as avid member at Little Flock Baptist Church until her passing.
She departed this life on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at approximately 3:55 p.m. at Tyler County Hospital. Maxine met and then married the late Theo Bean on March 11, 1965 to the union of ten children. She is preceded in death by Theo on October 5, 2019. Maxine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal sister and friend. She was a stout believer in family and good citizenship. She was greatly loved, respected, and doted on by all ten of her children and grandchildren.
Maxine leaves to mourn: Her son, Theo Bean Jr. of Houston, TX; nine daughters, Linda Byerly and Angela Barlow of Doucette, TX, Rachel Mitchell of Woodville, TX, Corretta Bean of Beaumont, TX, Stacey Mitchell, Donna Bean, Daniual Smith, Claudette Bean, and Omegia Walker of Houston, TX; two sisters, Delois McCartney of Phoenix, AZ and Flora Mae Lewis of Houston, TX along with sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband; Deacon Theo Bean, two sisters, Helen Marie Barlow and Louella Mae Wells, and one brother, James Edward Wells.
