Obituary for Maurice Williams
Maurice Hadnot was born October 8, 1939 in Moss Hill, Texas and left this earthly home on January 22, 2021 at Dogwood Trails Nursing home in Woodville, Texas.
Maurice was born to Rev. Ivy and Linnie Hadnot. She attended Scott High in Woodville, Texas. She started playing the piano at an early age and her love for playing the piano continued throughout her life. She always said she would leave this earth going straight to heaven playing the piano. Maurice played for various churches and she was faithful in using her gift of playing the piano. She was a mission teacher as well as a Sunday School teacher. She loved to take care of others especially her children and grandchildren. Her love for her family was like no other. She always cooked and welcomed all Pastors into her home. Maurice was married to Thessolonians (Slim) Freddie Williams. She retired from Kel-Star after many years of service.
Maurice was preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Ivy and Linnie Hadnot of Moss Hill, Texas; husband: Thessalonians(Slim) Williams; her 2 sons: Reginald Van Williams and Randy Rydell Williams; 4 brothers: Charles Hadnot, Lee Henry Hadnot, Tommie Hadnot, and Willie James Hadnot.
Maurice Williams leaves to cherish her loving memory her children: Victor (Teresa) Hadnot of (Woodville, Texas), Angela (Bobby) Hamilton of (Warren,Texas), Lorna Michelle Williams of (Beaumont,Texas), Kenyata (Ranada) Williams of (Woodville, Texas), Shagala Williams of (Woodville, Texas) and Felicia Williams of (Woodville, Texas); brothers: Joe (Joyce) Hadnot of (Woodville, Texas), Steven (Karina) Hadnot of (Sugarland, Texas), sisters: Ivy Jean Carter of (St. Petersburg, Florida), Betty Rodgers of (Killeen, Texas), Mary Ann (Bobby) Hutchins of (Harker Heights, Texas), Carol Settles of (Harker Heights, Texas) and Ida Joyce Mitchell of (Woodville, Texas). She also leaves to cherish her memory 21 grandchildren, 10 great-children and a host of nieces and nephews.
