Obituary for Maggie Delores Mitchell
Maggie Mitchell, 76, of Woodville, Texas transitioned to Glory on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
Maggie Deloise Mitchell was born on March 13, 1947 to L.P Joseph of Flint, Michigan and Eula Hadnot of Woodville, Texas.
Maggie as a young child she was united with Emanual COGIC, which is now known as White’s Chapel. After many years, she changed her membership to Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Michael Hadnot). She later transcended and joined Seed of Faith Worship Center(Pastor Dale Moye Sr.). She then returned her membership to Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where she remained until she made her life’s transition Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
“Mag” as referred to by her siblings, earned her GED in November 1974 in Warren, TX. She pursued her education at Angelina College in Lufkin, TX, becoming a Registered Nurse. Throughout her career, she worked as a Registered Nurse for the State of Texas (State Prison), Concept of Care, and Tyler County Hospital, where she eventually retired.
"Nanny" to her grandchildren, was preceded in death by her father L.P Joseph of Flint, Michigan, her mother Eula Mae Hadnot of Woodville, Texas her daughters, Kimmala Brown of Woodville, Texas and Jeanette Mitchell of Woodville Texas and her grandson Chadderick Mitchell of Lufkin Texas.
Her memory will be cherished, and she will be missed by her daughter Valerie Mitchell (Rosevelt) of Lufkin, Texas; two sons, Kennard Mitchell (Dalaina) of Houston, Texas and Savayie Mitchell (Fantasia) of Woodville, Texas. Her siblings Michael Wayne Hadnot (Oletha) of Kountze, Texas, Dorthy Dean of Beaumont, Texas, Annie Maloy (Willie) of Hillister, Texas, Connie Foster of Hillister, Texas, Turrance Harris of Woodville, Texas and a host of Grandkids, Great Grandkids other relatives and friends.
