Obituary for Lovie D. Franklin (Baltimore)

Lovie D. Franklin,75, of Jasper, Texas passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Lovie D. Franklin was born to Artice and Irene Baltimore on September 1, 1948, in Jasper, Texas. Lovie father Artice Baltimore, mother Irene Baltimore, one son Zachary, one brother Cleo Baltimore, one sister Mae Helen Eaglin, and one granddaughter Marissa preceded her in death. Lovie departed this life on March 23, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Lovie united with Rock Hill Baptist Church at an early age. At the time of death, she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

On November 18, 1972, she married Richard Franklin, who preceded her in death. To this union six children were born. One son preceded her in death Zachary. Lovie was a devoted wife and loving mother. Lovie is survived by her five children; Marcus of San Antonio, Texas, Daryl of Newton, Texas, and Eric of Jasper, Texas, and two daughters Mary and “Sweet Pea” of Jasper, Texas.

Lovie was survived by eight grandchildren; DeMarcus, Alyssa Johnson (Michael), DaJanaria, Kianna, Davion, Tacyanna, Tatyana and Tatyanna, and five great-grandchildren; Cayden, Andrew, Ava, Melanie and Olivia. Lovie had four brothers; James Curtis Baltimore of Arlington, Texas, R.V. Baltimore (Margaret) of Beaumont, Texas, R.J. Baltimore (Debra) of Humble, Texas, and Carl Baltimore (Maggie) of Baytown, Texas. Lovie had one sister Bertha Calcote (Willie) of Nederland, Texas. Lovie had a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
