Jyrin Barkin, 15, of Port Arthur, Texas answered God's call on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born July 23, 2008 to Rayette Gordon and Anthony Barkin. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. His handsome smile could light up a room. Jyrin's generous personality and endless talks will be missed. Jyrin loved to sing and dance. He was the life of the party.

Jyrin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray Tony Gordon, Patricia Degay, and Sam Barkin, Jr.; great-grandparents, Amos and Bernice Sims, Raymond Gordon, and Lillian Besord; father, Anthony Barkin; aunt, Harriet Martin; great-uncles, Amos Sims, Sr. and Joseph Thomas; and great-aunt, Rhonda Gordon.

Jyrin is survived by his loving mother, Rayette Gordon (Justin); grandmother, Tabetha Sims; special bonus parents, Roshanda and Harold Brooks; three sisters, Aubree and Emerigh Jackson and Ariana Barkin; six brothers, Jamizion Gordon, Justin, Jr. and Dallas Jackson, D'Andre, Prince Tutta, and Deion Brooks; aunt, Jasmine Lewis (Christopher); great-uncles, Eric Barkin, Menville and Demond Sims; great-aunts, Yolanda Nelson (Elijah), Belinda Sims, Shanda Hamilton (Morrison), LaGuna Brown (LeRoy), Vicky Sims (Corey), Crystal Sims (Malcolm), Rosie Evans (Derrick), Pamela Degay, and Monica and Rachel Thomas.
