Obituary for Johnny Renard Bass

Johnny R. Bass, passed of health complications January 23, 2020, at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 47. He was born September 9, 1972, in Woodville, to the parentage of John Leroy Bass and Litty Mae White. Johnny attended Woodville ISD, Class of 1991.

Johnny accepted Christ at an early age and attended White’s Chapel God and Christ Church. Johnny was a free-spirited person who loved being in the company of family and friends. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. His favorite hobbies were dominoes and fishing.

He was predeceased by parents, John and Litty Mae.

Those left to cherish his memories are daughter, Jamie Yarbrough (Willie); grandchildren, Kayleb and Mason, of Beaumont; his sisters, Deborah Ann and Georgia Mae, of Woodville, Sharon Marie, of Katy, KaLinda (Dunta), of Blue Springs, MO, Jonquil (Micah), of Richmond; brothers, Nathan and Keoki (Shontele), of Beaumont, Carlos (Tiffany), of Richmond and William (Krystal), of Spring; nieces and nephews of whom he loved dearly, DeMarcus, Symone, DeVante’, Tony, Blake, Taylor, Ethan, Brooklynn and a host of others. He also leaves his great aunt, Mrs. Ruth Jackson, of Shreveport, LA. Uncles; Bill Burns, William Bass Sr. (Gladys) of Beaumont. Dallas Lewis Sr., of Lufkin and Edward Lewis Sr., of Woodville and a host of cousins, extended family and friends to celebrate his home going.
