Obituary for Harvey James Hadnot

Harvey James Hadnot was born in Woodville, TX on February 13, 1940 to Vivian and Joe Hadnot. Harvey attended Scott High School in Woodville, TX.

Harvey moved to Los Angeles, California in 1958 at the age of 18 to purse his life dreams. Harvey started working at Inland Container in Santa Fe Springs, California. Harvey was employed with Inland Container for thirty seven years until he retired. Harvey loved his job and everyone there loved him. When new people would join the company and ask who’s that, they would say oh that’s “Harvey”!! Just saying Harvey was enough explanation in itself. Harvey was very loyal and dedicated to him career, never late or absent, even in illness, Harvey was there. Harvey was a very dedicated manin many aspects of his life.

Harvey met and married the love of his life Annette Smith thirty years ago. They remained tightly bonded until he preceded her in death to go home to his final resting place.

Harvey had a very loving heart and was the local comedian to most who knew him. Harvey was friendly to all he met and knew how to make everyone laugh. Harvey loved the simpler things in life and after retirement moved from California back to his home town of Woodville, TX. Harvey accepted Christ on September 15, 2006 at the Church ofJesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Woodville, TX.

Harvey loved to garden on his farm, fish, hunt, raise animals and BBQ. Harvey’s family and friends would often stop by anytime of day because Harvey would more than likely be BBQ’ing, he loved to entertain and be there for his family and friends.

You could always count on Harvey to give a helping hand whenever it was needed. Harvey was very loving and fond of his children Dianne, Melanice, Jonathan and Heather. He shared a special bond with his grandchildren. While all of the grandchildren were on vacation visiting, Gabrielle created his new name “Grandpa”. Grandpa called all of his grandchildren “his babies” Anthony, Jordin, Gabrielle and Jayme shared lots of love, fun and laughter with their Grandpa.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents – father Joe Hadnot; mother Vivian Hadnot;sisters Maxine and Sally; brothers Joe and Cloyd.
