Gwendolyn Midkiff was born on April 10, 1964 to the parentage of the late George Midkiff Sr. and Bertha Louise Blackmon Midkiff in Woodville, Texas.


She confessed her life to Christ at an early age, uniting with Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Woodville, Texas where she remained a faithful member until her move to Beaumont,Texas.

On Saturday, September 29th, Death Angels whispered and said, “You’ve gone the last miles of the way, now it’s time to have sweet peace and rest.”

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Owen King; father, George Midkiff Sr.; and mother, Bertha Louise Blackmon Midkiff.

She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Lexie King; sister, Deirdre Midkiff Taylor
(Cecil); brother, George Midkiff Jr.; sisters, Natalie Midkiff; Tiffany Midkiff and Quita Walker; nephew, Malik White; nieces, Aaliyah Midkiff, Layla Milton and Madyson Mouton; uncles, Dallas Lewis and Edward Lynn Lewis; aunts, Flora Mae Lewis and Evelyn Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
