Elton Mack Maxie, 76, of Woodville, peacefully passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at Friendship Haven Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Friendswood, Texas. Elton was born July 20, 1947 to Amos Maxie Sr. and Lula V. Maxie in Woodville, Texas. Elton was a graduate of Henry T. Scott High School. He went on to serve his country in both the Armed Forces and Navy.
Mr. Elton Mack Maxie, was preceded in death by his parents; Amos Maxie Sr. and Lula V. Maxie, siblings; Paulette Maxie, Amos Maxie Jr., Lugene Maxie, Ruby Moye-Holman, and his daughter Felicia Ann Wise.
Mr. Elton Mack Maxie leaves to mourn his passing his (Uncle) Leroy Moye, (Sister) Evelyn Wright, (Son) Elton Mack Maxie Jr., (Daughter) Eleanor Lewis, (5) grandchildren Tabitha Curl (Marcus Curl), Miriam McCauley (Antoinette McCauley), Terra Nicole Maxie, Blake Wise (Maria Lee-Wise), Oliyha Wise, (8) great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends. The family recognizes Ms. Ima Jean Mitchell as a very Special Friend.
