Obituary for Delois McRae-Brazil

Mrs. Delois Brazi, of Woodville, TX peacefully departed this life on October 16, 2018 at 3:51pm. Mrs. Delois Brazil, was born May 22, 1941 to Ellis Morris and Lottie Bea McRae in Hampton, AR.

Mrs. Brazil accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She was a dedicated and devoted member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served as the church clerk, on the mission board, as the assistant Sunday school superintendent and a choir member. She also was the Grand Court Order of Calanthe and served on the Moss Hill Homecoming Committee.

Mrs. Brazil, received her education in Arkansas and received her nursing certification from Angelina College. Mrs. Brazil, worked diligently for 30+ years at Woodville ISD in the PE and nursing departments where she touched many young lives. Mrs. Brazil, also worked at JB Best Clothing Store for several years. Mrs. Brazil, enjoyed cooking for her family, watching and attending sporting events. Mrs. Brazil, loved the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and the Woodville Eagles. Mrs. Brazil, also loved to walk, travel and to shop. Being a two time cancer survivor, she was a supporter of the American Cancer Society and participated in the Relay for Life event by walking and fundraising for many years.

Mrs. Brazil was preceded in death by husband; Willie Rayford Brazil, her mother; Lottie Bea McRae and father; Mr. Ellis Morris.

Mrs. Brazil leaves to cherish her memories (4) sons Myrlin Brazil (Shirley) of Huntsville, Texas, Kyle Brazil (Ruth Ann) of Houston, Texas, Kelvin Brazil of Beaumont, Texas and Ellis Brazil (Tamina) of Beaumont, Texas. (1) daughter Patricia Brazil Tims (Bryon) of Southfield, Michigan (3) sisters of Josephine McCullough of Woodville, Texas, Lorene Dennist and Mable Jean McGhee of Milwaukee, WI. Along with 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
