Delbert Lee Gallaway, 70, of Houston Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
Delbert Lee Gallaway was born on February 2, 1953, to his parents of Grover Lee Gallaway and Melinee Evans Gallaway "Harris" in Oakland California. On July 18th, 2023, Delbert Lee Gallaway peacefully passed away with his children at his side.
Delbert Lee Gallaway aka "Nickey" or "Brother Nick" graduated from Jack Yates High School.
Delbert Lee Gallaway accepted Jesus Christ as Savior at a young age and before his death renewed his commitment to the Lord.
Delbert Lee Gallaway was preceded in death by his parents Grover Lee Gallaway and Melinee Evans Harris, his brother Lawrence Oliver of Beaumont TX, and his twin boys Donald Anthony and Ronald Anthony Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memory children: daughter Sondryl Harris Moore (Marquis), sons Corey Gallaway (Cynthia), Gary Gallaway, Shedrick Dion Gallaway all of Houston, and Keith Gallaway of Colorado Springs.
Two beloved bonus sons Eric and Chris Lockett and a special nephew Delbert Dewayne Galloway aka "Nut" of Houston. Sisters: Marian Louise Benton (Jerry) of Killeen, TX, Peggy Ann Galloway, Brenda Joyce Galloway, Danna Letrice Harris all of Houston, TX, and Janice Galloway of Louisiana. Brothers: Rev. Stanley P. Harris (Teresa) of Brenham, TX, Tony Howard of Houston TX and Andre Galloway of Dallas, TX. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends all cherish his memory.
Nick as he was lovingly called by family and friends enjoyed sports, but he had a special passion for coaching Little League football. He loved fishing, cooking, being with his family.
