Obituary for Deborah Pickett

Deborah Pickett was born on July 15, 1959  in Woodville, Texas to the union of John D. Pickett and Mildred McQueen Pickett. Deborah’s name was given to her by her Grandmother, Clemmie McQueen from the Holy Bible. That is why it is pronounced differently.

At an early age Deborah gave her life to Christ at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the Direction of the late Rev. E. A. Coleman. She attended Kirby High School in Woodville, Texas. Afterwards she married Allen Steve Adams, moved to Houston, Texas and unto this union (2) two sons were born. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Later, she moved to Beumont, Texas Where she attended Lamar Institute of Technology and acquired her Associate's Degree. She found a valued friend and confidant, Nathaniel Wiltz, and moved back to her hometown here in Woodville.

Her life here on earth came to a close on Sunday, November 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Pickett Sr., brother, Robert E. Pickett, and her son, Markus F. Adams.

Deborah’s precious Memories will be cherished by her son: Allen Steve Adams Jr., her mother, Mildred Pickett 
(5) Brothers, Johnny L. Pickett (Elana), William D. Pickett Sr., Perry L. Pickett (Diane), Lawrence L. Pickett (Lucy) John D. Pickett Jr., (3) Sisters: Jacqueline Pickett, Paula Pickett (Steve), and Regena Pickett (Christopher). (3) Aunts: Bertha M. Hamilton, of Brookland, Texas,Pastoria Perry and Mable J. Lovett,  of Milwaukee, Wisconsin  (1) Uncle: Eddy Hue Disnute, of Hampton, Arkansas and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and Special Friend, Nathaniel Wiltz.
