Obituary for Deacon Mickey Lynn Haynes

Mickey Lynn Haynes "Smoove Operator", a son was born to Ollie Haynes and the late Geneva JoAnn Walker-Haynes on December 9, 1964. He confessed Christ at an early age. He attended Kountze Independent School District, graduating in 1983. He went on to serve in the US Army from 1983-1992. He was a veteran of the Gulf War era and peace time. He later joined greater Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Albert Moses in which he was baptized. He was later ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of John H. Smith. Mickey continued to serve under the current Pastor Roger D. Shillow until his death. He was the owner and operator of Haynes Trucking, where he retired.

Mickey Haynes is preceded in death by his mother; Geneva Walker-Haynes, grandmothers; Minnie Thomas and Hazel Haynes and sister; Judy Limbrick.

Mickey Haynes is survived by his loving wife; Evangelist Shundra Haynes, father; Ollie Haynes, mother in law; Rosie Edger, 2 daughters, 4 sons, 5 grandchildren, 3 step children, 1 God child, 4 brothers; Pastor Nathan McDaniel (Annie Mae), Otis Haynes (Minnie), Keith Haynes, Darrell Haynes (Lori), 2 sisters; Barbara Collins (Rev. James Collins) and Sherika Barnes.


In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you donate a TOY TRUCK(S) to the church in efforts to give away during the holiday season. This will be in honor of Haynes Trucking Co. Please see church information below:
