Obituary for Charles “Teddy Jam” Telford

Charles “Teddy Jam” Telford, 69, of Woodville, Texas departed this life Friday, October 9, 2020.


Charles “Teddy Jam” Telford, was born on March 4, 1951 to Oscar Sr. and Nellie Telford. Charles “Teddy Jam” Telford gave his life to Christ at a young age and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

He attended and graduated from Henry T. Scott High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army. Charles later returned to Woodville and worked for the City of Woodville as well as First Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar Sr. and Nellie Telford, seven brothers; Oscar Telford Jr., James Telford, Robert Lee Telford, Eddie Telford, Joe Telford, Elbert Telford and Henry Telford, four sisters; Margaret Johnson, Gloria Telford, Beverly Telford and Rosalee Telford.

To cherish Charles memories he leaves one sister; Elizabeth Walker of Woodville, Texas, two brothers; Jimmy Telford of Woodville, Texas and Larry Telford of Houston, Texas along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
