Carolyn Sue Harris Samuel, age 68, of Liberty Community in Newton,Tx transitioned to glory on Saturday August 21,2021 at 1:30p.m
Born Feburary 27th 1953 to Bertha Harris and Harvey Lewis in Newton,Tx, Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was dedicated to the church of God in Christ until her transition. In 1972 Carolyn married James Ray Samuel of Biloxi,Tx and to that union 6 children were born.
God bless Carolyn to save many souls on this earth as she lived and breathed the word of God everyday. She visted many churches in her community every Sunday. She would sing for the glory of God and had a beautiful voice that would have you smiling from ear to ear. Her favorite song was “Speak Lord Speak to me”. She was well loved in her community by all of friends and neighbors. She was the heart of Liberty Community.
Carolyn grew up helping other people that is what she loved to do. She was a very strong woman nothing could break her down. The bible says "Be strong and courageous". She had many bible scriptures that she quoted like the 23rd Psalm this one was her favorite. She loved to praise and worship God and she passed that blessing on to her children. She was a nurse and a provider. She always gave all the glory to God.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories to her daughters: Alisha Samuel (Lisa),Tedra Samuel (Teddy) Shanlandra Samuel (Fruit) Latasha Samuel (Poofae) Olivia Samuel (Peppermint). She also had a son (Carlton Ray Samuel) who preceded her in passing on. She also left her legacy on to her 9 grandchildren. Latavia Meyers, Jaylon Palomo, Taylor Samuel, Domonic Samuel, Alana Wilson, Hannah Clemons, Abigail Clemons, Issac Clemons, Ever Johnson. Carolyn’s brothers and sisters she leaves to mourn are: Elmer Berry of Newton,Tx;Katie V Lewis of Jasper,Tx;Arthur Joe Lewis of Lake Charles,La;Pearl Thomas of Port Arthur,Tx.Close first cousin: Joan Ann Alexander, Dallas,Tx.Among an arrary of other cousins nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
