Obituary for Carl Johnson

Carl Dennis Johnson, 62, of Jasper, Texas passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Carl Dennis Johnson was born on Sept 9, 1961 in Jasper, Texas to the late Harold Johnson and the late Rosie Mae Houston Johnson. His grandparents were the late Sam Houston and the late Bulah Cauley Houston.

Carl was raised in Jasper, Texas and was baptized at Neely Grove Methodist Church at an early age. Carl graduated from Jasper High School with the class of 1980 and showed great interest in sports with many accolades in baseball. He later went on to become a CDL Truck Driver and logger which he continued until the end of his time with us. Carl was a loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend. He loved his family, he really cared for others and asked of them often and he was always willing to help a person in need.

Carl leaves to cherish his precious memory: Beloved daughter Ebony and her Mother Aurora, his three loving sisters Evelyn Johnson of Jasper Texas, Marie Twine (Earl) of Newton, Texas and Susan Thomas of Jamestown, Texas. One brother-in-law; Robert Earl Twine Sr., One Uncle; Billy Houston. Two nieces; Sha'Vernon "Nikki" Thomas, and Latoya White. Three Nephews; LeKendrick Johnson, Jamoral Twine and Robert Earl Twine Jr. Aunts; Willie Mae Hafford, Brenda Houston Waltz, Helen Miles, Tracey Houston and Mary Joyce Houston. Special cousins; Claude "Tick", LaVerne, Harvey Hafford Jr. and Freddie Houston. Special friends; Larry and Lornee Duckworth and a host of great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
