Obituary for Bobbie Broussard
Bobbie Powell Broussard, 93, passed away on April 28, 2023 in Tomball, Tx. She was born May 15, 1929 in Zavalla, the seventh of nine children of Charlie and Maggie Powell.
She and Harvey (Bruce) Broussard were married in 1948 and lived in Beaumont for the next 50 years. Bobbie was a residential realtor in Beaumont for more than 20 years. After retirement she and Bruce built their dream home on Lake Sam Rayburn and moved back to her hometown of Zavalla.
She loved living at the lake and enjoyed entertaining family and friends, cooking, gardening and creating beautiful stained glass windows, lamps and garden stones.
She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by many friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Broussard, her son David Harvey Broussard, son-in-law John Worsham, her parents and all her siblings, J.T., Ruby, Clyde, Winifred, Charles, James, Dorcas and Mary.
She is survived by her daughters; Linda Galland (Mike) and Loretta Worsham, daughter-in-law Connie Broussard, granddaughters Stacey Worsham,
Anna Gomez, Amanda Wackenreuter (Walter), Melissa Broussard (Nolan Rodriguez) and Bobbie Dickerson (Brad), grandsons Michael Galland (Erin), Paul Galland (Stephanie), Andrew Galland and John Galland (Christin). Great-grandchildren Mia, Katherine, Caroline, Elizabeth, Dominic, Brooklynn,
Braylon, David, Cole, Robert, Ruger, Lukas and Loriana.
A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be offered for Bobbie:
Saturday, June 17th at 10:30 a.m.
