Mrs. Audrey Mae Rodgers was born on March 31, 1943 in Huntington, Texas, to the parentage of the late Garfield and Henrietta Johnson Sr.
Audrey Rodgers was known as “Rabbit”, “Ra”, “Ganny”, “Granny Panny”, and “Momma Rabbit”. She accepted Christ at an early age at New Zion Baptist Church in Lufkin, TX. She graduated from Dunbar High School Class of 1962. Joined in holy matrimony to JD Rodgers until he was called home to glory. Mrs. Rodgers was employed at Memorial Hospital as a Unit Secretary until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church until her health would not allow her to attend. She loved the church even when she could not attend. She loved her family, cooking, traveling, and especially her grandkids.
