Alice Faye Lewis, was born September 22, 1958 in Woodville, Texas to the union of Will Horn, Sr. and Zenobia Bean (whom both preceded her in death). She departed her earthly life on September 24, 2018, just 2 days after her 60th birthday.

Alice was a devoted member of Moss Hill Baptist Church where she served as the church treasurer for more than 10 years. She later became a member of Camp Zion Missionary Baptist Church, in Doucette, Texas where she would continue her faith in God. She was a high school graduate of Kirby High School in Woodville, Texas in 1976. She was a firm believer in the phrase “If you’re going to do it, do it right”, which led her to become a self-motivated, highly successful wife and mother. She started working at Woodville Housing Authority in 1991, as a part-time secretary-clerk, and later transitioned to become the Executive Director of the Woodville Housing Authority. Alice routinely served as a spokesperson for County electoral voting and communication in Precinct 5, in Doucette, Texas.

She married Billy Jack Lewis, Sr. of Colmesneil, TX. and out of that union, she had 3 children. She will be missed as a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many.

Alice Faye Lewis was preceded in death by her husband Billy Jack Lewis Sr. and one daughter, Pamela Sidaya Lewis; 4 siblings, Georgia White, Gladys Mitchell, Cilisia Williams and Dave Barclay.
