Obituary for Alberta Reece (McDonald)
Alberta Reece, 84, of Kountze, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 4,02023.
Sister Alberta Reece was born July 26, 1939 to the late Moses and Minnie McDonald in Kountze, Texas. She departed this life on November 4, 2023.
Sister Alberta was educated in the Hardin County school district. She was employed for many years with the Kirby Lumber Company until it closed.
Sister Alberta accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Green Pine Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of the Pastor’s Aid and served faithfully.
In her free time she loved cooking for family and friends and people in the community. She loved her family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Sister Alberta was preceded in death by her parents Moses and Minnie McDonald and her beloved husband of many years Robert (Cocomo) Reece. A daughter Marilyn McDonald and three sisters Henrietta Graham, Minnie Lee Brewer and Daisy Warren. One brother Charles McDonald.
Sister Alberta leaves to cherish her memory one sister-in-law Levert Reece of Dallas, Texas. Six daughters Lois Trotty (Henry), Geria Lewis, Linda Davis, Mary Reece and Meochi Reece of Kountze, Texas and LaKeli Anderson of Beaumont, Texas. Five sons Tommy Reece, Mickey Reece, Robert Reece and Bobby Reece of Kountze, Texas and Torino Reece (Sarah) of Beaumont, Texas. Seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren. Two special friends Bertha Lee Gibson and Carol Hancock and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
