Obituary for Lewis Edward Cornish

Lewis Edward Cornish
Lewis Edward Cornish, 65, of Houston, TX was called home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

Lewis Edward Cornish was born to Clarence Edward White and Ora Lee Cornish in Houston, TX on October 10,1952. In his early years, Lewis was a talented artist who enjoyed sketching and working with his hands in print shops. During his off time he spent plenty of his weekends fixing up classic old cars and building furniture in his garage. He also had a huge passion for photography, in which he loved taking pictures of his church family, friends and loved ones. Lewis accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior while an active member of New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where he was on the Usher Board. There was nothing that could compare to the love he had for God and his grandchildren, he was always talking about one or the other.

Lewis Cornish was preceded in death by his father; Clarence White, mother; Ora Lee Cornish, brothers; David Cornish and Harold White, sister; Ellen “Coco” Cornish.

Mr. Lewis Cornish leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers, Andrew Cornish and Patrick Jackson, one sister; Paula Cornish, two daughters; LewRhee Decuir (Marcus) and Charlotte Cornish, one son; Lewis S. Cornish (LaQuitta) and their mother Rhee Jones. He also leaves nine grandchildren; Chris LeBlanc, Reyauna Pradia, Lewis S. Cornish Jr., Zyia, Zion and Za’moria Cornish, Cameron, Chaston and Arabia Decuir; along with a host of family and friends.
