Obituary for Willie Barlow Jr.
Willie Lewis Barlow, Jr. of Beaumont, Texas departed this earthly world on Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Willie Lewis Barlow, Jr. was born on August 3, 1936 to Argentine and Willie Barlow in Hillister, Texas. He was one of six children. Willie graduated from Scott High School in Woodville, Texas in 1956. Following his graduation he moved to California where he began to build a life of his own. While in California he pursued a Career with the Los Angeles Water Board.
After retiring from the Water Board, Willie moved to Beaumont, Texas where he reconnected with and married his late wife, Betty Barlow. They were united in marriage on December 5, 1998. While in retirement, Willie enjoyed his passions of hunting, fishing, and raising cows. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Willie departed this earthly world just as he desired, in the comfort of his home, peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018 while asleep. He was surrounded and cared for by his daughter, Diana Abdullah and son-in-law Muhammad. Willie was preceded in death by his late wife, Betty Barlow, parents; Argentine and Willie Barlow, two sisters; Glory Bean and Florence Daniels, one brother, Leo Barlow. He leaves to cherish his memories: Two sisters; Annie Mae and Helen, four children; Goldie Langford of Houston, Texas, Diana Abdullah (Muhammad) of Raceland Louisiana, Harold Barlow (Lois) of Lake Elisnore, CA. and Alice Jones (Nathaniel) of Corona, CA. 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
